Bayview Elementary School in Nanaimo Recipient of Books

Branch News |
New books donated by Upper Island Power Pioneers to our Literacy Program in 2015 were presented to the Principal and Librarian of Bayview Elementary School in Nanaimo recently. Bayview is a small school with a small library so new books are always welcome and very much appreciated. Principal Diane McGonigle told us some of her students seem to know when there are new books in the library, and all want to be the first to read one. Young Nathan joined us in the library shortly after we arrived, and when asked what he thought, he replied, “Hey, cool,” and gave us a thumbs up! How’s that for an endorsement?

It looks like Lois has Nathan’s complete attention.
