BC Hydro will be hosting the 2025 Safety Rodeo June 7th. 2025 at the Nanaimo District Office:
Location: 400 Madsen Road, Nanaimo, B.C. V9S 5X3
The Safety Rodeo is an annual safety-themed event open to BC Hydro employees, their families and BC Hydro affiliates. It features demonstrations, competitions, games, activities and information booths.
The highlight of the Rodeo is the Power Line Technician’s (PLT) Competition, which showcases the expertise and skills of BC Hydro’s line workers who compete with honour, excellence, and safety in a variety of line events. The Safety Rodeo serves as a qualifying event for the International Lineman’s Rodeo held in Kansas City each fall and the ENMAX Rodeo.
To help make this a successful event, we are looking for volunteers to help at the Rodeo. If you would like to volunteer or just wanting to attend with your family, please fill out the attached form and email it back to Patricia Bucy at mpbucy@shaw.ca ( If you are volunteering, the form must be give to Patricia by April 24, 2025. If you are just attending, you still must register but you have until May 20, 2025 to have the form completed and given to Patricia.) You can also telephone your information to Patricia at 604-789-0243.
*************We will be representing ourselves by wearing the Power Pioneer Purple Shirts. Please advise Patricia if you do not have a purple shirt. She must have the information by March 31st. 2025 so that the shirts can be ordered.
