On Monday  June 3rd, the Fraser Valley Branch of Power Pioneers was pleased to award our annual BC Hydro Power Pioneers Community Services Award to Micah Cooper Causton from Sardis Secondary High School in Chilliwack.  This amazing young man not only exceeds in academic excellence but is also a highly valued member of his community.  One of his favourite community involvements is the Little Hero’s Hockey League where he coaches physically challenged children.  Micah explained in his application for the award “The relationships that have been formed on the ice have given me the opportunity to spread awareness about disabilities throughout the community, especially at school”.

He is also a volunteer with Camp Firwood, Meals On Wheels and the Salvation Army.

Making the award was Pat Daws, Community Services Award Coordinator for Fraser Valley Power Pioneers.  Judges were Dave & Sue Devitt, Sharon McMillan, Ray & Pat Daws.  Congratulations Micah !
