Thanks to hard work by Power Pioneers members, from the Lower Mainland Branches, $2795 was raised for BC Children’s Hospital ”Small is Mighty”campaign. The hockey tournament was held at Delta’s Planet Ice on April 26, 27 and 28. There were 30 Hydro teams participating from all over the province. Hockey Players and spectators were very generous in participating in the 50/50 draws.
Winners were:
Friday evening draws – Dylan Bridgman, $500 and Cogan Ruckstruml, $500.
Saturday noon draw -M. Novak $475
Saturday afternoon draws – Brandon Mcran, $500 and Cindy Semka, $330.
The difference between what we paid the winners, $2305 and the $2795 donated to ”Small is Mighty” was because of generous donations of people attending the hockey tournament.
Organizer, Terry Peressini would like to thank the following volunteers for their hard work selling 50-50 tickets, re-connecting with old friends and relieving them of a few dollars:):
Rob & Dianne Kickert Karen Arnold and Donna Tomkins
Ben Dobrowski, Bill Bishop, Rick Unger
Ray and Pat Daws, John and Linda Strobl, Shawn MacDougall
Nancy Ashurst, Elli Tower and Lorilee Koltei
Hope we can do this again next year and raise even more money for a worthy cause.
