Look who’s 90 years young! Upper Island Power Pioneer Alan Bickle, that’s who! Al was at home to family and friends who dropped in to help him celebrate, and in spite of telling wife Sharon he didn’t want any fuss, I suspect nobody enjoyed the day more than Al.

The day began at 6 a.m. when Al looked out the window to see 90 old buzzards (fake) decorating the front lawn. It’s a good thing they have a big yard! He tells me the whole neighbourhood will now know he’s a senior citizen! A Canucks birthday cake took the sting out of the buzzards, not to mention two Canucks game tickets and lots of cheeky cards! By the way, did I mention Al is a devoted Canucks fan?
