Northern – 2024 Christmas Donations

On December 6th, at the Northern Branch Christmas Luncheon our members donated items for the St Vincent de Paul Society and the University Hospital of Northern BC.

On December 12th, Dave Conway (Branch Vice President) met with Colene Dyson from the St Vincent de Paul Society. He presented warm winter clothing.

 

St Vincent de Paul Society donations:
– 1 box of hand warmers
– 3 blankets
– 7 pair of men’s gloves
– 3 men’s caps
– 9 men’s toques
– 8 pair of men’s work socks
– 45 pair of men’s socks
– 2 pair of men’s sweat pants
– 2 pair of boots
– 1 ladies gloves and toque set
– 2 ladies sweaters
– 1 ladies vest
– 1 ladies fancy scarf
– 1 ladies bath robe
– 2 pairs of ladies leggings
– 3 ladies tee shirts
– 4 children’s toque and mitt sets

+ $25 cash donation

 

On December 17th, Al & Karen Beeson and Gail & Tim Thompson met with Aimee Cassie from the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. They presented donations of baby toques, for the NICU and colouring books with crayons as well as reading books, for the Children’s Ward.

University Hospital of Northern BC NICU and Children ward donations:
– 2 boxes of 10 reading books
– 8 boxes of crayons
– 13 colouring and activity books
– 23 soft covered reading books
– 25 hard covered reading books
– 31 baby toques
– 2 pairs of baby mitts

 

 

 

 

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the BC Hydro-Power Pioneers who brought in toys, books and knitted hats for our Pediatric and NICU patients to enjoy over the Christmas season.
