The Northern Branch Christmas Luncheon was held at the Coast Prince George Hotel by APA on December 6, 2024.
We had 45 attendees. Of these attendees we were honoured with the attendance of Ros LeBlanc, Provincial Power Pioneers President and Heather Mullen, Provincial Power Pioneers Communications Chairperson. Other special guests from BC Hydro were Bob Gammer, Site C Community Relations Manager and Stacey Sinclair, Manager. Out of town guests included Shirley Gratton and her daughters Shirli Gene and Terri Lee.
Before the delicious turkey and ham luncheon we were entertained by our own talented musicians, Keith Monroe on keyboard and Brian St Germain on guitar playing Christmas music.
Our master of ceremonies was Dave Conway, Northern Branch Vice President. Tim Thompson, assisted by Rudy Zellman, made door prize draws for those in attendance. Of the numerous prize draws there were four $50 cash prizes won by Reg Durrell, Shirli Gene Sadowick, Ros LeBlanc and Pat Dool. In addition four $50 cash prizes were previously drawn for recipients from our outlying branch members, Ann Gillanders from Terrace, Chris Dahl from Pineview, Theo Mochoruk from Hudsons Hope and Connie Richter from Ft St John.
Following lunch, Bob Gammer gave us an update on yearly events at BC Hydro and a status update at the Site C Dam. Ros LeBlanc and Heather Mullen provided a greeting and status update from the Provincial Power Pioneers.
All those present brought donations for The St Vincent de Paul Society and The University Hospital of Northern BC Children’s and NiCu Wards.
Merry Christmas to all and a very Happy New Year for 2025.
