Well it has been hot, hot, hot. We must make the best of this weather as winter can come all too soon. The forest fire risk is on the increase and I hope we can avoid any evacuation notices. On that note our sympathies go out to the residents of Jasper Alberta. Many of us have fond memories of camping or visiting in the summer and skiing in the winter in this very special place. The next event on our calendar is our summer BBQ being held on August 16th and will be held at the home of Gail and Tim Thompson, our gracious hosts. The cost to attend in only $10.00 for members, new members will also pay $10.00 which will include the BBQ and one year’s membership. Please invite a retired BCH employee to join us. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mya Powar, a Prince George student who is this year’s Community Service Award recipient. I look forward to seeing you all at the BBQ.
