Northern Branch Volunteer Hour Donation presentations
On October 24, 2024, members of the Northern Branch of the Power Pioneers presented donations to two local charities in Prince George. The donations were from money earned by our Northern Branch members for providing volunteer hours in 2023. Thirty-five members submitted their hours and in turn we were rewarded with $20 per member, totalling $700, from the Provincial Power Pioneers. Our branch members voted to top up this amount to $1000. This was then split between the two charities, The Salvation Army and the Prince George Hospice Society.
On behalf of the Northern Branch and the Volunteer Hour Program, we wish to thank all of the members who provided their volunteer hours for this worthwhile cause. Let’s keep up the good work and have even more members provide their volunteer hours for this year 2024.
As a side note, Terry Receveur, was one of our members whose name was drawn provincially and he received $1000 from the Provincial Power Pioneers to donate to his choice of charities.
