In Memoriam: Barb Winkelmann

We are very sad to inform you of the passing of our long time Pacific Branch member Barb Winkelmann on December 11, 2024.

Barb’s husband, Ernie, predeceased her on August 23, 2021. Barb and Ernie first joined our branch in 1994. They became active members in 2004 enjoying our many rambles and provincial jamborees. Most notably for Barb, the Newlands Festival of Trees was her favourite activity. For many years she organized her team and designed many award-winning tree motifs which earned our branch many Best Tree awards.

There will not be a service. The family is planning on spreading both their ashes at their favorite place in the spring.

Please pass this information on to anyone who may have known Barb but does not have access to email.
