The end of August is here, and our Alaska Northern Lights Jamboree Cruise is only a few weeks away. We hope you are as excited as we are!

Read on for some important updates and information
Departure Day Sail-Away Toast – time and location change
- Our Sail-Away Toast (previously at 5 p.m.) will now take place at 3:00 p.m. in the Sky Conference Centre, rooms A &B, Deck 14. This is your first opportunity to connect with your fellow Power Pioneers cruisers. Join us for a toast and some prize draws before we set sail.
Group Dining Update
- Differences in cruisers’ dining times does not allow us to reserve large group dining, so take advantage of the many opportunities starting on day one to connect with other Power Pioneers cruisers and arrange to dine with others if you wish.
Departure day, Sunday, September 15
- Embarkation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with sailing at 4:30 p.m.
- Our Power Pioneers All Aboard Check-in Station will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Sky Conference Centre, rooms A & B, Deck 14.
- You will be greeted by Jamboree committee members to receive your welcome bag and a Power Pioneers Limited Edition lanyard with name badge, as well as information to take away.
- Expedia Cruises staff will be joining us at this event to assist you with cruise questions. They will also be available at assigned times throughout the cruise.
Group Cocktail Parties – 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, September 16 and Saturday, September 21
- Monday, September 16 is our Northern Lights theme party, so plan to wear your blue, purple, and green colours or surprise us with your concept of northern lights.
- Saturday, September 21 will be our final cocktail party. Come casual or dressy.
- Please be sure to attend our All Aboard Check-in and Sail-away Toast and cocktail parties to socialize, participate in fun activities and have a chance to win one of our great prizes.
- As an incentive, you must be present to win our prize draws!
- Don’t forget to pack “evening chic” outfits for Celebrity’s formal nights onboard. This is your chance to dress up in your own way, from cocktail dresses or fancy jeans to a tuxedo or gown.
Other ways to connect with fellow Power Pioneers – drop-in locations
- Come to the Café el Bacio at 10 a.m. or the Martini Bar at 4 p.m. on designated days (see Week at a Glance document provided in your welcome bags).
- These drop-ins are optional and not reserved for our group, but a great way to touch base with fellow cruisers. Please keep in mind these are popular venues with limited seating.
Please remember to wear your name tags to all our Power Pioneers events on board or while walking around the ship, as it’s a fun way to meet other cruisers in our group.

This email includes helpful tips and questions such as what to pack and not to pack, what toiletries are supplied in your cabin, what to wear and travel document information. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – Updated
We have cruised with Celebrity before, so will we be able to use our past passenger Loyalty Program?
Yes, contact Expedia Cruises Langley. They will ensure you are able to use your Captain’s Club past passenger level and benefits.
Once onboard, how do we contact other cruisers in our group?
A list of cruisers’ names will be included in your welcome bag. Due to privacy issues, cabin numbers will not be included. To contact someone on the list, call reception and ask to be transferred to their room. If they are not there, you will have the option to leave them a message.
When will we get together with fellow cruisers?
At our All Aboard Sail-Away Check-in Station Toast, at 3:00 p.m. on September 15, at morning coffee and afternoon drop-ins on designated days, at the group photo on September 17, and at our two cocktail parties, September 16 and 21. Will Expedia Cruises representatives be travelling with us on the cruise?
