The 2016 Community service award winner, Katherine Bernier and her parents Dan and Leisa Bernier were introduced at the June luncheon.

Katherine Bernier was the winner of our BC Hydro Community Service Award.  She is from Rutland Road Senior Secondary School.  Katherine belongs to the Builder’s Club in her school which discuss making changes to the local and global community.  Kate ,as she likes to be called, got involved with working with the homeless in Kelowna.  Kate also liked to entertain the Seniors.  Kate is an active member of Pathfinders and earned her Citizenship Certificate and Community Service Award.  Pathfinders is part of the Girl Guides.  Kate will be attending school in Victoria and will be studying the Sciences.
