The South Interior Branch of the Power Pioneers held their lunch and meeting on February 9,2016. The highlight of the event was the award given to our care rep. Joan Bailey, from the Red Cross.
Joan Bailey… power pioneer member received a special award from the Red Cross for 32 years of volunteer service!!!! She has held every position within the organization, and has shown incredible dedication to the Red Cross. She is the longest surviving person in Vernon with this many years of service. At our luncheon today, Fred Wernicke read the very extensive and detailed letter that accompanied this Distinguished Service Award Plaque.
Joan is the Care Rep for our branch, and we extend our congratulations for being recognized for her dedication to Vernon Branch of the Red Cross.
