Upper Island Branch had our Christmas luncheon on December 13 at the 256 Legion in Nanaimo. We had pictures with Santa, a silent auction, some carol singing and lots of gifts handed out.

Ted Olynyk updated us on all our BC Hydro outages, and what plans there are for Vancouver Island in the next several years.

Our Provincial guest was Rob Kikkert and his wife Diane.  Rob let us know our cost of living increase for this year is 2.61 %. That is great news.

Our members and guests enjoyed our luncheon. It was so much fun catching up with our friends on what has been going on in their lives over the last year.
