We were greeted at the registration table by our membership committee Al and Diane Seper.
Also at the registration table was Jim Gahr collecting volunteer hours.
Our Library committee Brian Jeffrey assisted by his wife Mirjam, who is our Upper Island secretary
And the most important committee-Our Social one with
Janet Harms who had lots of help from her husband Ted, Patricia Buce and Janet, and the table with some of the gifts
Our Hydro guest getting ready to update us on all the work being done on the Island. We enjoyed it and there was several questions asked after Steve Watson’s presentation:
Janet started a new tradition. Each table called to go for lunch had to sing a few lines of a Christmas song. The Christmas lunch was Oh so good, especially the dessert: our favourite bread pudding.
Some of our members enjoying catching up with friends
And the winners of the gifts
There was lots of cash donations for literacy, Loaves and Fishes food bank, and for the Nanaimo and District Hospital Paediatrics. Plus books and food donations. Thanks to all our members for supporting these worthy causes. The donations will be made in the New Year 2024.
