Upper Island Power Pioneers Patti Morris, Lois Earle, Sharon Bickle and Dianne Michaely , with Patti’s car loaded up  with the pull tabs that our branch collected over 2022, delivered the pull tabs.

It was a beautiful day to drive to Schnitzer Steel Canada Ltd. Located just south of the Nanaimo Airport

Our pull tabs weighed 69 pounds and that rewarded the Kidney Foundation, Recycle For Life, suite 200, 4940 Canada Way in Burnaby with $20.70.  Our branch has been collecting pull tabs for many years and donating all monies made from the tabs to the Kidney Foundation.

We have requested our donation to go to the kidney summer camps for kids.

It describes what the summer camp is all about.  An interesting fact is that all children going to the camp are referred by BC Children’s Hospital.
