The Victoria Power Pioneers Branch held their Christmas luncheon on December 5 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Langford.

The event was attended by 43 members and guests, including Ted Olynyk, BC Hydro’s Community Relations Manager from Nanaimo and Warren Quan, Provincial Power Pioneers Vice President and his wife, Mona, from Vancouver.

Thirty-eight children’s books were donated to Jeneece Place at Victoria General Hospital and five boxes of food were donated to the Goldstream Food Bank along with cash donations totalling $250, which included the proceeds of the 50/50 draw. The 50/50 draw was won by Mona Quan.

We look forward to having Ted, Warren and Mona back again next year.

Everyone went home with a smile on their face as well as a gift.
