Henri Jefferis is the recipient of the Victoria Branch 2024 Community Service Award.

Henry is currently a volunteer at Ayra Manor, an assisted living complex in Sooke. He is helping the Activities Coordinator with programs to support residents in full care. He is one of the youngest volunteers at the assisted living complex. Henri goes there whenever he is not going to school or scheduled to work. He assists residents with mobility challenges to participate in group activities to support mobility and coordination and helps them get to lunch afterwards.

Henri says the best part of volunteering is watching the residents have fun. Their enjoyment is the only thing that matters when he volunteers and he is so glad he was given this opportunity to do this great service to his community.
