the Community Service Award to Kendra Parent

On June 29, 2022 the Williams Lake Branch awarded the 2022 Community Service Award to a very deserving student. Dan Boyle, Community Service Award Rep, and Dolores Vickers, Publicity Rep, presented the $500.00 cheque, an Outstanding Community Service certificate, and the book “Voices from Two Rivers” to grade 12 graduate Kendra Parent. Kendra’s mother was also on hand for the presentation.
Kendra is a straight-A student who will be completing her post-secondary studies on Vancouver Island in the field of Kinesiology..
She spread her volunteer services across the community while managing to uphold her school studies to the highest standard. Kendra has been volunteering in the community with literacy programs for several years. She is a high-level soccer player, as well as a hockey player.
